Halloween On A Budget: Vintage Classic.

It is getting down to the final hour, do you know what you are wearing for Halloween yet? If you clicked on this I am going to assume that you might still be looking. Now, when it comes to costumes I have fallen subject to the sexy attire more than once. I am not a hater by any means, if you wanna go as sexy IT for your festivities, you do you boo boo. On the other hand, the older I get the more I realize that I just want to have fun and be comfortable. Confidence and a smile is all the sexy I need. This costume is absolutely perfect for that!

Holly Golightly and her iconic pjs:

Um.... HELLO!!!!! Who wouldn’t want to wear pajamas for hHalloween!?! This is by far the easiest costume to create and the most comfortable. The “ear plugs” are actually just earrings I made myself using earring hooks and embroidery thread in the right shade of purple. You can go to basically any craft store and find this stuff. Also if you need a tutorial on how to do make the tassel, click here.
The face mask was really easy as well. If you dont feel like making one I found this one at Amazon (go figure). If you do want to make it I suggest just getting a cheap eye mast with nothing on it, The drugstore should work for that. Then I just used acrylic paint and did the rest. Again you can get the paint really cheap at the craft store. I just recommend that you let the mask dry for at least 8 hours. Last accessory of the bunch is Cat. Now I am not a cat person so Hazel is my stand in, and as you can see, she is thrilled. If you want a cat like Cat from the movie then buy him here, and give the poor slob a name.

The rest of the costume is the most simple. I literally just stole my husbands dress shirt. If you need to buy one, Goodwill baby. You DO NOT need to break the bank for this one. Basically you need a white dress shirt and underwear. Now, I am not one for running around in my skivies in public. If you are the same I recommend opting for yoga shorts or something underneath.  In order to keep warm I added a pair of sheer tights as well. The shoe situation can be whatever you want as well. I just opted for a pair of black flats. Again, so simple.
The makeup is going to be another important piece for this costume. Audrey is known for her perfect pink lip. Again, I am a NYX girl and they just happen to have the pink you will need, and it is named, you guessed it, Audrey.  The rest of the face is simple and fresh. Remember this was a time period when contouring and highlighting were not a thing. The makeup is mostly a “day face”. I have a tutorial I did a while back that is perfect for this. I will leave a link here, and the video below.

I hope you guy have found either some help or innsparation from this post. I will be doing a compilation. Post here shortly with all of the last minute costumes I have done in the past. Have a happy All Hallows’ Eve!
Stay Classy🎃
