That HomeGoods Maxx Life

Raise your hand if you love shopping! ME TOO! Now, Raise your hand if you hate shopping.... Guess what, me too. Shopping can either be a rainbows and unicorn experience or it can make you put whiskey in your coffee. For me personally shopping where I live is a taxing experience most days. I am grasping at 5'2" and I am a curvy chick. Clothing does not fit me 90 percent of the time. The other thing that make s shopping difficult is the fact that I live on the East Side, home to the rich and glamorous. I am nowhere near rich but I do like to be glam every now and then. I lied, I want to be glam all day every day. EXTRA is my middle name.

The funny thing is I am extra with everything, I spoil the hell out of my dog already but going to Homegoods and TJ Maxx makes it soooo much worse. She has more toys than a dog her size needs (she is my fur child #dogmom), so we kept them in a basket. This worked for a while but it just looked tacky. I like my house looking nice and put together so I wanted to change that. Not only is the little bin I got wayyy cuter but it was only $7.99.

I also get her new dishes today. Like I said, she is spoiled. The dry winter air and hot summer days make my little monster drink a lot more water so, I wanted to get her bigger dishes, which only cost me $4 each. I recommend getting ceramic ones like this and not getting dishes with a holder. the holder will actually jack the price up quite a bit. These are the perfect size but they can also go in the dishwasher! I don't know about you, but if it can't go in the dishwasher, my fine lazy ass is not going to hand washing.

In the land of designer fashion keeping up is difficult. My two saving graces have been TJMaxx and Homegoods. If you haven't been there you need to go! Y'all I spend way too much time in these two stores.  Everything I do I want to be classy and up to day, including gift wrapping. There is just so pleasing about a beautifully wrapped gift. Home Goods has made this achievable and so cheap.  I bought this box on the left for only $2.99. I was cheaper than buying a cute bag and tissue paper! Not pictured is the birthday card. YOU GUYS.... they sell the Papyrus style expensive cards for a freaking $1.99! When a store makes you feel like you are #winning at gift wrapping, it isn't hard to fall in love with them.  Plus, can we take a minute to appreciate that this box is Kate Spade AF?!

Now, if you have heard of TJ Maxx or seen any of their commercials you know that they are primarily a clothing store. Like I said above, shopping is difficult for me. I want to be contemporary, classy, and chic but I don't want to break the bank. Going along with that idea, I decided to try the ruffle trend. I was not thrilled about this because the last thing I wanted to do was add more volume to my body. This was the best place to dip my toe in the water!

This grey blouse is so cute and comfy! The sleeves have just the right amount of ruffle and it was a light enough piece that you could totally layer it! I loved the slight criss cross at the neck as well, its a necklace and shirt all in one.

The next top was so cut as well. I felt like the cu on this could have been a bit better but the color is freaking amazing! I love this dark blush. I think I actually prefer the ruffles on the sleeves instead of at the waist.
This beauty totally came home with me. The neckline is sexy and conservative, wich I love! Also, I am a big burgandy girl. There is something so sensual about this color, even in a tee. The little knot at the front is great too! My weight tends to fluctuate so it is perfect for those not so great days! Oh and I almost forgot to mention, these tops were all on clearance for $12! CAN I GET AND AMEN 🙌
The real love affair of the day is this coat! I fell in love with a camel colored walking coat at J.Crew. Alas, I'm a cheap ass so the coat didn't happen. I actually love this one better. Again it is that beautiful dark blush color which makes it a classic coat as much as a statement piece. I personally prefer the single button too. Whenever I wear a coat I never button it all the way. Y'all, Imma wear the hell out of this coat!
I am at the point in my life where I enjoy feeling put together. Even having my home "dressed up" feels good. These two stores are my absolute ride or die places. I love the fact that I don't have to break the bank to have my outfits or my home look Instagram ready. If you haven't checked these places out, do it! You won't be sorry!
Stay Classy💋
